State Treasurer – Aaron Smith
Aaron Smith currently serves as the Treasurer of A.S.S.I.S.T. Aaron holds and A.A. in Computer Studies from the University of Maryland, a B.S. of Business Administration & M.S. of Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law and is licensed to practice law in Texas.
Aaron has served his country as an enlisted marine achieving the rank of sergeant. He spent two years as a military police officer in Okinawa Japan, and finished out his enlistment as a marine embassy security guard at the U.S. diplomatic missions in Belgium and Egypt.
Aaron currently is the President of Smith Protective services. His initial role at Smith was as an assistant project manager for an accounting systems upgrade prior to his legal education. After returning to Smith he stepped into a role as assistant in-house counsel with a focus on aiding Smith’s then President Mark Smith with issues related to his role as a member of the Texas Private Security Board and aided Clayton Smith in managing information technology initiatives.
