Dear Dave,

     Many of us in the Security Industry sometimes forget the basic structure of our business. My deceased father once told me, son you can drive the bus but, if no one rides the bus, then the bus never moves, therefore the bus never gets anywhere and never gets paid for.

     This is very true in our industry to the fact that we can have a company but if no one works for us, then the company never grows. I am in the people business. I have nothing to sell but man hours and it takes people to fill these man hours. Employees are the greatest asset that I have. Paragon Investigative Services has been involved in Assist for several years and has seen the organization grow under expert leadership. The Assist bus is being driven correctly and now I would like to enlist some riders for another bus.

     Unfortunately we work in an industry where we have Fallen Heroes. Not fallen Heroes that have been called on to protect their country, but Fallen Heroes that were just trying to feed their families and make a better life for themselves and their families.

     I would like to challenge all companies in our profession, (not only Assist members), but all companies in the industry to ride the Fallen Officers Fund bus. The seats on this bus are not expensive, send in the price of a badge or the price of one uniform shirt. I am enclosing my check for $ 50.00 to pay for my seat on the bus and I look forward to this bus surpassing the goal and continuing its very worthwhile purpose.
