LEGISLATIVE REPORT

Well we are looking at a new legislative session starting in 13 months. ASSIST is working on some bills that were killed in the past, new bills to be filled for our future and what our enemies may have waiting for us.

One thing I want to mention the economy, as it stands right now I don’t know if there is anything we can do but if your experiencing what my company is (slow pays or no pays, clients cutting hours or rates and the competition of our colleagues) “It’s a tough row to hoe” out there.

I read an article stating as many as 10 small businesses a day are going out of business. One of our obstacles is to stay in business.

There has been discussion to raise the limits on our general liability insurance required by the state, we need feedback on that. We are going to attack for the lien bill again; Dan tells us Representative Lucio is on board with caring it again. We have had more officers killed in the line of duty I think we may need to re-visit the Legislature about the capital murder issue again.

Keith and I appreciate your support and hope you are making in-rows with you state representatives and state senators now, it will make it much easier in 2011.
