"The next big election"

For the past two years I have been talking about building a better security officer. So I thought I would give that a rest and talked about politics until the election is over.

Since I want to keep my job on the Private Security Board and I don’t know who will win, I am not going to choose sides in this election but rather research the choices we will have and the history of their development so that you will have a basic elementary understanding of what will occur on election day 2010.

The first thing we have to realize and come to grips with is that in regards to our country and our state, we have a two party system: democrat or republican. I know the ballot will be peppered with third party choices, but from as far back as I can remember and in researching history, we have only had two realistic choices. The names may change from Whigs to Bullmoose to United We Stand, but at the end of the day you only have a choice between the democrat and the republican. Any vote cast for anyone else is throwing your vote away. You may as well stay home from the polls.
