In Dallas, the meetings are moving forward. In March we held our elections Dave Clines with T.I.S. is the new chairman, Walt Roberts is the vice chairman, Tim McClure with Able is the secretary, Lisa George with Weiser is the treasurer and Larry Regan with Securitas is the chairman of the Training Committee. April 14 there will be a meeting help at Dallas Police headquarters to discuss the upcoming year.

Some of the new topics are the city of Dallas’ Multifamily Ordinance, the availability of crime statics and the new criminal trespass program which is the web addresses for known sex offenders, and the National Cyber Tip Line and Child Pornography Tip Line.

We are still working on getting a video prepared so that the membership of LEAPS can provide classes to their employee on site.

Mark your calendars for May 20. ASSIST and LEAPS will host the Law Enforcement and Security Symposium at the Radisson on Central Expressway just North of Mockingbird. It begins at 11:30 a.m. Two CE credits will be offered and it will be a great meeting. There will be new information discussed.

We are inviting someone from every department in North Texas so expect a better turnout than last year.
